Welcome!

On behalf of myself and our entire group of volunteers, we welcome you to our upcoming 2016 Educational Convention, April 23-24. We are so excited for this upcoming conference and we will be introducing a couple new features, we are confident you are going to enjoy! First, we will be hosting our convention in the gorgeous city of Spokane. We realize it has been a few years since we have been on the east side of the state—and we know it is a long drive for a lot of the west-siders— so we have chosen to shorten this years conference to help reduce the cost of lodging for our attendees.

Even though we have shortened the conference, there is no shortage of great classes. Ruth Werner is joining us for two days and teaching four different classes including an ethics class as well as a class about public health issues. Lisa santoro will be joining us from California and teaching a two-day class on lymphofascial scar work and Brian Utting will be teaching two days, including a class called “Understanding the somatic nervous system and Proprioception” and “Musclespecific Deep tissue techniques for the torso (Iliopsoas, Diaphragm, QL and Paraspinals)“.

While this is just a taste of the upcoming trainings we feel confident that you will walk away with a heightened sense of current issues and trends within the industry and a better understanding of how education is so vital to your continued success. Also, in lieu of a formal exhibit hall, we will have a smaller, more casual information section. our sponsors will be providing individuals to answer your questions along with information for you to take home.

In addition to the amazing sessions we will also be having a large fundraiser for the Massage therapy Foundation. this will be open to anyone who wants to attend, including those not attending the convention. tickets can be purchased prior to the event and on the first day of the convention. tickets include a buffet dinner and a night to kick up your heels with fellow massage therapists. there will also be a silent auction and a few other festive surprises. Join us for this fun night and bring a friend!

We look forward to seeing you at the beautiful Double tree Hotel in spokane!
